Moni - Perdika

Time to reach destination: 30′
Aegina is a beautiful island and one of the closest to Athens.
The architecture of the main town’s old buildings reminds visitors that Aegina was the first capital of Modern Greece. And its vivid life, the numerous restaurants, shops and bars explain why it is a popular destination in both summer and winter time.
A visit to the ancient temple of Athena Aphaia, one of the best preserved, is a must-do while in Aegina.

South-west of Aegina is Moni, a small islet surrounded by turquoise waters, with no other inhabitants than deers, wild goats and peacocks. One can walk through the pine forest and actually meet the islet’s inhabitants while reaching up to the northern side of Moni, overlooking at the sea.

Right opposite to Moni islet is Aegina’s fishing town of Perdika. Built on the top of a hill, it has a very traditional scenery, fantastic view over the marina and the islet of Moni. The traditional seafood restaurants will offer our guests a great meal before the end of this trip.
